vegetable glycerin

Vegetable glycerin. Vegetable glycerin or most popularly known as VG works by adding more vapour when vaporizing. Most users actually add distilled water to their VG solution to make it thinner because this anti-freezing base is a thick substance. It is actually mixed up with e-juice as well to give stronger hit. This particular sensitive skin care product is made with glycerol (hence the name), which is a naturally-occurring biochemical substance that is a component of fats and oils. It is in fact a form of sugar alcohol inside our bodies it acts as a solvent that helps to down the nutrients from the food we eat into a usable form of energy; without glycerol, we would literally starve to death even if we were full.
This all-natural product is made in several places around the country, including Hawaii. There, soaps are made with healthful tropical oils such as coconut and palm, and include many exotic scents derived from local fruits (mango, passionfruit and pineapple) as well as flowers (local orchids and jasmine). Although not generally available outside the U.S., this product is still able to be shipped to the other 49 states as well as the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, American Samoa and Guam.Glycerin is a humectant: it has the ability to draw water from the environment and the dermis (the lower layers of skin) into the outer (surface) layers of the skin. It also helps keep the skin's natural barrier intact. Because of this, Glycerin helps keep skin moisturized and soft, preventing dryness. And it doesn't just work on skin, it has the same benefits on hair too.The fact that is also easily absorbs water from the surrounding air means that glycerin is hygroscopic. If you were to leave some in the open, it would absorb water from the surrounding air to eventually become 20% water and 80% glycerine. If you were to place a small amount of pure glycerol on your tongue, your tongue would blister because it is dehydrating. When beauty products containing glycerine are used on skin that is well moisturized, it can help keep that moisture in.
